Week one of drawing for Animation was interesting and rather difficult at first.
We were tasked with drawing the model as she changed poses in a series of 30, 20 and 10 second intervals. This forced me to think faster about what I was drawing and observing so I could record her pose, shape and proportions as fast as possible. At first this was really intense and it wasn't until I started to use the techniques discussed at the start of the lesson, that I really noticed a change and looking at my drawings they progress from darker scribbled and erratic shapes to simpler flowing outlines better representing the gestures and curves of the model.
I still haven’t completely grasped drawing like this, I’m used to spending more time on getting the shapes and proportions right. But more practice means better improvement.
